One suggest that I have heard is that if you take meeting notes that the last person to show up starts the notes and that if someone else shows up then the notes are passed to them so that they can review then continue taking notes. So for each person to show up late you do not have to review what you already discussed but they still know where you are in the meeting. This tip came from a book by Jon Petz, Boring Meetings Suck, that gives tips on how to hold effective meetings. It’s an interesting resource if you are having problems with ineffective meetings.
