An LTC at the Pentagon resolved the problem in 2 ways. He inherited a weekly 9am staff meeting and didn’t want to change the routine but got tired of folks showing up late (it was a VTC as workforce in 2 locations). So he moved the meeting to 9:09 and the doors got locked. If you were late, you did not get in. Not there to give your project update (or didn’t ask someone else to if you have conflict) – means you need no additional resources. Budget time and they were figuring out what made the cut line – everyone wanting funds was there early to defend their request.
