Account Manager – Federal Civilian, Washington, D.C.
Put your years of service and experience in the federal government to work in this challenging position on our federal team. Work directly with civilian agencies including the Departments of Energy, Agriculture, Interior, and Homeland Security; International Affairs; and federal law enforcement agencies to facilitate information sharing, understanding, analysis, and decision making through the direct application of GIS technology. These activities are centered primarily in the Washington, D.C. region and conducted across the nation.

Consult with and advise current and prospective customers on the application of ESRI technology; articulate the benefits of our enterprise range of software solutions.
Strategize business development opportunities and provide proposal writing support to targeted opportunities.
Manage accounts from procurement process through contract implementation; lead contract negotiations by providing account focus.
Coordinate seminars and user group meetings to educate customers and facilitate networking on ESRI-based solutions.
Support international distributors in applying ESRI technology to government organizations including attending international user group meetings and seminars.
Advise on software requirements and advocate ESRI software for functionality relevant to federal agencies.
Bachelors or masters in computer science, geography, or a GIS-related field, depending on position level.
Minimum of three years of account management experience.
Familiarity with the federal government organization and related activities.
Effective interpersonal skills with ability to establish successful working relationships.
Strong presentation and account management skills.
Ability to work independently.
U.S. citizenship and ability and willingness to obtain a security clearance.
Experience working for or with the federal government.
Understanding of the ESRI enterprise range of software solutions and how they relate to the federal government and its respective agencies.
Familiarity with relevant data and standards.
Software engineering skills.
Familiarity with current IT architectures and systems engineering.
