The San Francisco Controller’s Office is looking for a Business Systems Analyst to support and develop the City’s budget, performance, and financial reporting systems, including the SFOpenBook open data/transparency website.
The Business Systems Analyst will administer and troubleshoot the existing systems as well as develop new functionality. The analyst will be involved with all parts of the development cycle for projects small and large and will work closely with four colleagues and also with the user community of 600+.
The ideal candidate will possess a blend of business and technical savvy, an eye for the better way to do things and a logical, systematic and creative mind. The incumbent will be a self-starter and constant learner who wants to make it easier for the City’s knowledge workers to analyze data in support of the efficient and effective provision of City and County of San Francisco services.
Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in business administration, accounting, computer science or a closely related field; AND
One (1) – two (2) years work experience performing systems analysis, programming, macro/script and Excel model development or closely related experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to assume responsibility for most if not all stages of the system development cycle.
