    Google Search Appliance Analyst/Enterprise Content/Data Search Analyst (09-0026)

    OMNITEC SOLUTIONS, Inc., (http://www.omnitecinc.com) is the recognized leader in providing web based solutions to the Public Affairs operations for much of the DOD, a position further supported via our recent $37 million, four and one/half year contract with the Defense Media Activity (DMA) to provide software development, new media integration, maintenance and management support for Department of Defense public-facing websites. This includes a well developed business relationship w/ Google as we have installed & integrated multiple Google Search Appliancesa (GSA’s) for our federal clients.

    This has created an opening for a web savvy IT professional to be our Google Search Appliance Analyst. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience with managing Google Enterprise Search Appliances.

    Responsibilities will include but not necessarily limited to:

    – Creating and managing collections;
    – Creating and managing Keymatch rules;
    – creating customized search results;
    – Editing and maintaining XSLT skins for various search pages;
    – Working with industry experts from Google, Inc., on software and hardware updates;
    – Working with developers to maximize search effectiveness;

    Other skills:

    Functional understanding of XML, Web enabled database applications and SEO operations.
