Duties: Provides training administration, course design, development and maintenance, and course delivery. Courses may be simple or complex and may include multimedia presentations.
This is a Tier I/II Functional User support and training position that provides help and supports mission critical customers. In this position you will be part of a small team also performing like functions. This position will directly support critical applications and will work with both DC area and worldwide customers.
In order to be successful in this position you must take pride and ownership in your work and take the initiative to thoroughly learn the applications from a user perspective and support mission critical customers with a sense or urgency and thoroughness.
In addition to learning the applications you will capture issues that require development fixes and stay abreast of all scheduled development work so you can keep your customers informed of upcoming events that will impact them.
This position provides training and support for multiple software applications. In addition to the above you will also lead and/or assist in initiatives such as documenting updates, new release preparation, creating training courses, and briefings/system overview
presentations (to train and inform new users). Effectively communicate both internally (developers, testers, CM staff, etc.) and externally (service providers, customers) in order to expedite problem resolution and promote advancement acceptance and satisfaction with these the software applications you support.
Inherent in this duty is knowledge of common problems and appropriate service providers who can rectify them. Also a need (like it or not…a reality) to follow-up with service providers and customers to ensure the issues are satisfactorily addressed in a timely manner. Respond to customer inquiries or third party offices as an application subject matter expert, and report issues/status to management.
Optional Skills: Training skills, experience, and/or education. Familiarity w/ SRS (Remedy). ” Ability to network w/ both users and service providers. Ability to collaborate/communicate in a team environment AND work independently to accomplish assigned tasks. Occasional flexibility in work hours/locations to support non-Eastern Standard Time operations. Document/Presentation preparation experience. Ability to create and present training courses. Public speaking skills. Ability to understand and use.
