    DHS I&A is a member of the U.S. Intelligence Community and ensures that information related to protecting the homeland is collected,
    gathered, analyzed, and disseminated to the full spectrum of homeland security customers. I&A works closely with DHS component intelligence
    organizations as well as State, Local, Tribal partners to ensure non-traditional streams of information are fused with traditional
    streams from the IC to give a complete picture of threats to the nation. I&A directly supports the Under Secretary for Intelligence
    and Analysis in carrying out the mandate to integrate the Department’s intelligence components and functions by driving a common intelligence mission.
    This position performs a range of substantive intelligence operations duties associated with cyber threats by applying a knowledge of intelligence gathering and dissemination methods and techniques through utilization of multiple forms of information technology to address complex projects and issues.
    Exercises ongoing responsibility for performing less complex research gathering, analysis, and dissemination, information technology assessments, or supports a senior intelligence specialist by:
    • Compiling and disseminating a wide range of information to identify cyber threats.
    • Making preliminary determinations on the distribution of open and classified intelligence reporting.
    • Developing data for senior intelligence specialists based upon knowledge of current and past intelligence situations and an understanding of the significance of the conditions and cyber threats
    • Applying knowledge of IT vulnerabilities in order to identify and prepare cyber intelligence products for for review by senior intelligence specialists.

    You will perform duties as a U.S. Intelligence Community cyber threat analyst supporting the Department.
    Knowledge and experience in information Assurance (IA) (e.g. vulnerability analysis, intrusion detection, security patch management, certification and accreditation, etc) preferred, however, this position focuses on understanding and speaking of the cyber threat to U.S. critical networks. Describe your interest and ability to research, collect, analyze, and produce finished cyber intelligence reports.
