Public Service Recognition Week 2009!
From May 7-9th, more than 100 government agencies will join together to exhibit on the National Mall in Washington, DC between 4th and 7th Streets and shine a national spotlight on the many ways government services make life better for all of us.
In addition to exhibits that demonstrate the broad reach of its programs and services the Department of Labor will also showcase exciting job opportunities and give qualified individuals a chance to talk directly with current employees about working for the agency.
On Friday May 8th, the Department of Labor will also be actively recruiting to fill a number of diverse job openings. These jobs are real, and so is the need for talented and qualified applicants. No matter what drives you, the Department of Labor offers a chance to make a difference through your work.
We need talented employees with diverse skills and backgrounds in order to succeed, and with interest at its highest levels, now is the perfect opportunity to fill these mission-critical jobs with a diverse workforce of the future.

How to Get There:
The Public Service Recognition Week government expo takes place between 4th and 7th Streets on the National Mall. Multiple public transit opportunities are available including MetroRail and DC Circulator Buses. Click here for map.
The Department of Labor exhibit and recruitment center will be located in the tent nearest 7th Street.
What to Bring:
The Department of Labor will have representatives from many of its various agencies and offices on site to talk with you about the work they do, and the opportunities they have. Many offices have immediate job openings for qualified individuals, so bring your resume and come prepared to talk with HR representatives or even set up an official interview.
