    The Arizona Department of Enviromental Quality has the following opening:

    Environmental Health Specialist II:

    Maintains data quality of all information in the database, with emphasis on site and instrument metadata, database business rules, data warehouse links, parameters, intranet and internet links, and data storage and archiving; also assists in the creation of annual reports, monitoring network plans, and periodic network assessments. In coordination with other staff members, this position will be responsible for historic data entry, processing new data sets into the AAAD, developing training materials, and testing new development; will QA and load filter-based data into AAAD from the Air Monitoring Unit Filter Lab or other laboratories that report data to ADEQ; will track and review data that are collected by permitted sources to ensure permit requirements relating to ambient air quality monitoring are met.

    Ability to follow agency policies and procedures and complete projects by established deadlines. The incumbent will be skilled in evaluating data and identifying trends and anomalies; performing mathematical computation, and providing input to technical reports. The employee will also have excellent verbal and writing communication skills, the ability to interact with agency staff and other officials to establish and maintain effective working relationships, and the ability to manage and complete several assignments at a time.
