San Fransisco’s Open government hub (run by two prominent GovLoopers Jay Nath and Adriel Hampton) just got a new look

Not only did the look switch up but so did twitter. You can now follow them @open_sf.

Also they’ve started a pretty cool concept of every “Third Thursdays” for San Fransisco gov’t rockstars interested in Gov 2.0. Basically it’s a meetup where awesome gov connections and conversations will be had. Sounds cool does anyone know of other cities doing similar things?

Thanks for the writeup, Stephen! Big shout out to Luke Fretwell of GovFresh, who did the design work and helped come up with the Third Thursdays concept.

With the monthly gathering, we are looking to get beyond branding and go with a generic name that can bring in anyone interested in Gov 2.0 and OpenGov concepts and projects, as well as meeting up with more traditional activists (hence a venue that’s near City Hall and draws in good government and political activists).
