From a military friend of mine outside the wire in a far away land…

I need to tap the minds in here on a technical problem. I have a Suunto Ambit 2 gps watch that I use in the capacity as a Forward Observer. It’s essential that I have accurate location and altitude, but I also wouldn’t mind tracking our dismounted movements too. Out of the box, the Ambit can’t give me all that I need in one app/program, but I know you can create and share apps on the Movescount website. There isn’t one out there that I can use. Anybody here have experience with making apps for Suunto devices? I am looking for an app that will not only track my movements like any of the other apps will do, but I want to be able to include a screen with GPS coordinates so that I don’t have to stop the tracking to go into the navigation menu for my grid. Ay ideas?

If you can help email me offline at [email protected]
