Our client on the Central Coast is looking for an Interim Finance/IT Director for approximately six months. In this position you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the operations of the Department of Finance and Information Technology, which delivers services to the public and organization in three key functional areas; accounting, revenue management and information technology. Primary responsibilities include: developing and implementing efficient and effective financial policies, plans, and reporting systems that help the operating departments achieve their objectives and assure the City’s long-term fiscal health; effectively using the City’s information technology resources to improve customer service and productivity; and providing quality services to all of the department’s customers–both internal and external to the organization.
1. Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in accounting, business administration, public administration, economics or related field
2. Five years of increasingly responsible financial management and information technology experience with local government entities.
