What is the size of your IT shop as a percentage of all the municipal employees in your organization?

Our IT shop also includes GIS responsibilities so when asked this question I say we have 4.5 IT personnel and 1.5 GIS personnel. We support approximately 293 employees. I hope this helps for your comparison.

    Hi Robert,

Thank you for your reply. Yes, this helps. Do you strongly leverage external vendors to deliver your services or do you manage most of it in-house?

We generally manage services in house. We buy off-the-shelf software versus in house development. We have two departmental apps that are hosted offsite with an eye toward more of this in the future as it makes sense.
