    Requester is willing to accept anyone with the professional capability to perform the duties. —

    The Space Development and Testing Wing/PK office at Kirtland AFB, NM, requires manning support to backfill as the Acting Deputy Director of Contracting. Eligibility criterias and info below.

    a). AFSC: 64P3
    b). Grade: Major
    c). Position Title: Acting Deputy Director of Contracting d).
    Organization: Space Development and Test Wing (SDTW). SDTW is one of the wings belonging to AFPSC and Missiles System Center (SMC) e). Time Period:
    1 Nov 2009 – 31 Mar 2010. The exact period of support is negotiable.
    However, support before 1 Nov 2009 or after 31 Mar 2010 is not anticipated f). Location: SDTW, Kirtland AFB, NM, and is geographically separated from the SMC g). Job Description: Provides contracting support to the SDTW.

    Exercises first-line supervisory as well as managerial authority over assigned personnel. Serves as principal advisor to the commander on all contracting matters. Exercises specific Federal Acquisition Regulation
    (FAR) authorities and responsibilities for assigned contacting actions.
    Directs all aspects of the acquisition process including legislative initiatives, policy implementation, strategy development and contract execution.

    Provides contracting support to all SDTW organizations and is responsible for the career development of all contracting personnel. Position does not require a contracting officer’s warrant, though having a current systems-type-warrant would be helpful.
