    FARM SERVICE AGENCY (FSA) COUNTY EMPLOYEES: Permanent County employees without prior Federal tenure who are selected for a Civil Service position under Public Law 105-277 will be given a career-conditional appointment and must serve a 1-year probationary period.

    DUTIES:

    This position is assigned to the FSA KANSAS STATE OFFICE, Price Support Branch, located in Manhattan, Riley County, Kansas.

    The selectee serves as Assistant Agricultural Program Specialist, Price Support. In this capacity, participates in and shares full responsibility for planning, directing, and coordinating all aspects of the price support programs for the FSA State and County Offices. Directs and carries out division activities in the absence of the Key Agricultural Program Specialist (PS).
