    The Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) Fund is charged with promoting economic revitalization and community development primarily through investment in and assistance to Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) and Community Development Entities (CDEs), through encouraging insured depository institutions to increase lending, financial services and technical assistance to CDFIs and within distressed communities throughout the United States. Among other things, the CDFI Fund provides grants, loans, deposits, equity investments, technical assistance, and tax credits to organizations engaged in community development finance. In addition, the Fund administers the New Markets Tax Credit Program (NMTC Program) and is responsible for certifying entities as CDEs for that program.

    Key Information:

    As an Associate Program Manager, Legislative and External Affairs, you will:

    – Develop communication, plans and strategies designed to establish and maintain communication between the CDFI Fund and the general public and various other pertinent publics, including internal or external, Congress, and State and local audiences.

    – Advise management on policy formulation and legislative issues and potential public or Congressional interests.

    – Plan, execute and/or evaluate the effectiveness of information, communication and multiple media programs in furthering CDFI Fund strategic goals.

    – Establish or evaluate policies, procedures and protocols, and incorporate best practices, Treasury/Federal policies, and technology solutions.

    – Review the work of others for completeness, accuracy, responsiveness, and adherence to standards and protocols.

    – Build partnerships and coalitions in order to share knowledge, promote informed decision making, and leverage the resources of the Fund.
