    THIS POSITION IS LOCATED AT HOT SPRINGS, SD

    The VA Black Hills Health Care System (VA BHHCS) is located in the beautiful Black Hills of western South Dakota, where we are known for our blue skies, pine forests, rich history, moderate climate and friendly western hospitality. VA BHHCS provides primary and secondary medical and surgical care, along with residential rehabilitation treatment program (RRTP) services, extended nursing home care and tertiary psychiatric inpatient care services, for veterans residing in South Dakota and portions of Nebraska, North Dakota, Wyoming and Montana. Care is delivered through the Fort Meade (near Sturgis) and Hot Springs VA Medical Centers, as well as through a number of community-based outpatient and rural outreach clinics. VA Black Hills is part of VA Midwest Health Care Network (VISN 23).

    Performs a variety of budgetary, financial and administrative functions in implementing the VA Black Hills Health Care System (VA BHHCS) budgetary/financial program, policies, and procedures. The following functions are representative of work performed: Extracts and compiles personal services and wage data from automated databases and updates bi-weekly personal services projections utilizing available ADF utilities. Develops worksheets and updates relational databases as necessary to accomplish various budgetary projections. Incorporates changes in pending personnel staffing actions provided by Human Resources Management into personal service projections. Compiles budget/financial data received from VA BHHCS Departments resulting from annual budget call in support of other financial Management Service professional staff. Utilizes various automated systems and sources such as Financial Management System (FMS), Decision Support System (DSS), Personnel Accounting & Integrated Data (PAID), Veteran Shared Service Center (VSSC), and Financial & Clinical Data Mart (FCDM) in the preparation of budgetary and financial reports. Compiles employment data as produced bi-weekly in the PAID system and maintains reports which reflect FTEE utilization by Department/Service. Compiles VISN reimbursement data related to Sharing Agreements and quarters rentals on a monthly basis and updates report utilized VISN-Wide.

    WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week
