    The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) has an opportunity for an Information Technology leader to serve as its next Chief Information Officer.
    Information systems play a vital role in sustaining the viability of the Department and the services provided to the public. Information Systems consists of five sections with over 220 staff and an operating budget of $102 million. The Chief Information Officer provides leadership in the planning, development, and implementation of information technology services for the Department and other state, county, and city organizations. The CIO is responsible for work that is strategic, organizational and operational in nature. This position leads the Information Systems Branch as a service delivery organization and works in partnership with ODOT Executive Management to meet the technology needs of ODOT.
    Applicants should have a proven history of leadership that demonstrates integrity, approachability and a strong commitment to inclusiveness; knowledge and experience in organizational development; expertise at forging alliances and developing support for projects with diverse partners or audiences; and the ability to communicate effectively and clearly regarding complex issues.
