Reporting to the City Manager, the Police Chief directs all aspects of the department’s $20.8 million biennial budget, 69-employee workforce, police reserve unit, and other community volunteers to protect life and property through law enforcement and crime prevention activities. The Police Chief is responsible for maintaining positive community and inter-agency partnerships, grant funding and program management, as well as overall Police Department leadership.
Candidates should have five or more years of progressively responsible experience in law enforcement management and administration with knowledge of a variety of police functions and a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field from an accredited college or university.
