    Job Description

    Osage City (population 2,900), historic small community in northeast Kansas, is sustained by family-friendly lifestyle, excellent schools, quality local health care. City seeks Manager for leadership for innovative, cost-effective services. Position has broad responsibilities for employee appointment/removal/supervision, finance, policy research and recommendations. Compensation, employment agreement negotiable and competitive.

    Job Requirements

    Three years in state or local government with supervisory responsibility; bachelors degree in business or public administration, or related from accredited university; evidence of stable, progressive employment history required. Three years in local government as manager/administrator, or assistant manager/administrator; masters degree in public administration or related from accredited university; personal or professional experience with rural community; success in obtaining external funds; ICMA membership preferred.
