In this position, you will identify, organize and coordinate all USSOUTHCOM sponsored and/or authorized conferences that facilitate achievement of command strategic objectives; evaluate potential conference for supportability through review of requirements, dates and times, classification, technical needs, and customer¿s expectations; and identify and prioritize multiple concurrent conferences to ensure world class, gold standard support. You will interface with foreign, civilian, and military personnel, members of military, public and private institutions and local hotel staffs; conduct pre-conference meeting 90 days prior to start of conference to determine overall objective and details of logistical support requirements; and assist in the preparation of the annual operating budget, write statements of work, purchase and commitment requests (PR&C), and certify public vouchers, IAW legal contracting office guidelines.
