    In the Secret Service, we:

    * Protect the President, the Vice President, and other leaders; investigate threats against them; and safeguard their residences and other facilities
    * Plan and implement security designs for National Special Security Events
    * Investigate financial crimes including fraud, identity theft and computer-based attacks on banking or telecommunications infrastructure


    * U.S. citizenship is required.


    The selectee will serve as a Counterfeit Specialist in the Office of Investigations, Criminal Investigative Division. His/her duties will include, but are not limited to:

    # Performing difficult and complex examinations of documents using intricate and sophisticated laboratory equipment and techniques.
    # Determining methods of production and security features used to classify notes by applying a variety of techniques.
    # Using chain of custody and other quality assurance measures to ensure integrity of evidence for use in courts of law.
    # Training personnel and other officials in an academic and/or professional setting.
