Duties & Responsibilities
Human services management experience – above a supervisor – is REQUIRED.
The Georgia Department of Human Services, Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS), is seeking highly motivated and experienced executive candidates for our County Director position in Southeast Georgia – Brunswick.
Under the direction of the Regional Director, our County Director manages overall planning, direction and supervision of all Social Services programs, including; Permanency, Family Preservation, Family Support, and Assessment and Intake for the Richmond County area.
The County Director oversees quality and delivery of all public assistance, employability, and other programs through subordinate program directors. Additional duties include, but are not limited to: directs and manages human resource, facility, budget and other related systems within Department through a deputy or subordinate administrative managers; leads and/or participates in local and statewide projects and community initiatives as requested.
Minimum Training & Experience
The candidate will have a Bachelors’ degree in social work, counseling, psychology or a related field and twenty four months of management of subordinate supervisors in a human service delivery program (DFCS, DCSS, DAS, DJJ, etc)
A Masters’ degree in social work, counseling, psychology or a related field and 12 months of management of subordinate supervisors in a human service delivery program (DFCS, DCSS, DAS, DJJ, etc).
