    The Office of Personnel Management is looking for a dynamic and energetic leader to join their Senior Executive Service (SES) Corps.

    The SES is comprised of the men and women charged with leading the continuing transformation of government. These leaders possess well-honed executive skills and share a broad perspective of government and a public service commitment which is grounded in the Constitution.

    This position is located at the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) in Washington, D.C. The Deputy Chief Information Officer serves as a principal advisor to the Chief Information Officer in support of the Agency’s policies and programs. Under the broad direction of the Chief Information Officer, the incumbent oversees all information technology plans and policies for the Agency, and is responsible for all automated data processing and telecommunications functions throughout OPM.

    # Develop OPM’s programs in the maintenance and interpretation of Governmentwide information technology and telecommunications policies.
    # Develop and implement information technologies to support OPM’s legally mandated programs and services. Direct a continuing quality control program for the design, testing and evaluation of services and systems.
    # Control the costs and resources throughout the life cycle of OPM’s information technology systems.
    # Approve and provide leadership in the selection and acquisition of all ADP data communications and integrated office automation systems equipment and services throughout OPM.
    # Serve as a technical and policy advisor for OPM on information technology, telecommunications and office automation systems.
    # Ensure the development, implementation and enforcement of comprehensive information technology standards, policies and regulations.
    # Manage assigned human, financial and other resources in accordance with law, regulations, and public policy, so as to achieve intended program results efficiently, economically, and effectively.
