    Job Description

    Under limited direction of the Utilities Manager, manages the finance and customer service functions, prepares and administers the Utilities Department budget, long term financial forecasts, management and accounting reports, and implements new department software. Maintains confidentiality of privileged information. The Deputy Utility Manager- Finance and Administration serves at the pleasure of the Utilities Manager.

    Job Requirements

    Minimum Qualifications:

    •Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field, seven years experience in accounting or finance; two years in a supervisory capacity.

    •Must possess, or ability to obtain within first thirty days of employment, and maintain a valid New Mexico Class “D” driver’s license.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    •Certified Public Accountant.

    •Three years in the utilities industry.
