    The Kansas City Area Transportation Authority is seeking a highly motivated, energetic, experienced, and progressive executive to direct the operations of its fast paced, multi-faceted ADA Compliance and Customer Service Department.

    This position requires an extensive knowledge of federal and state paratransit and ADA regulations along with the ability to provide oversight and direction to the organization’s transportation service programs and staff. The successful candidate must have outstanding written, oral, presentation and interpersonal skills along with the ability to work positively with a diverse staff of salaried and unionized employees and a customer base that includes senior and special needs customers. The successful candidate must have experience in leading a similar organization with an annual operating budget of at least $4 million. The successful candidate must have well-developed analytical skills and the ability to identify and report important operational statistics and trends. Must have the ability to see the overall picture and set strategic direction, but at the same time pay attention to detail. Must have excellent organizational skills with the ability to develop, implement, document and maintain policies, procedures and controls. Must be hands on with paratransit scheduling software and Microsoft products. The successful candidate must be able to create and maintain a team environment.
