    Job Description
    Under the direction of the City Manager, the Director of Administrative Services will assume full responsibility of all Administrative Services department operations including finance, human resources, risk management, purchasing and information technology. The Director of Administrative Services will manage the development of the City’s annual budget, direct disbursement of City funds and controls expenditures, interpret and enforce governmental accounting and auditing standards, oversee administration of the City’s fiscal policies and procedures, insure timely compliance with any audit findings, and prepare financial statements and other documentation required by law. The Director will serve as the City’s Personnel Officer and will manage a comprehensive program of personnel services including recruitments, employee relations, benefits administration, employee compensation, performance evaluations, training and employee development plans. The ideal candidate will be an experienced municipal finance and administrative services professional with senior management and supervisory experience, strong interpersonal skills, and a collaborative approach. Knowledge of: Advanced principles and practices of accounting, financial reporting, auditing, bond financing, municipal budget preparation and administration, and human resources activities. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, business administration or a related field. A Master’s degree in public administration or a related field and possession of a CPA License is desirable.
