Leadership role responsible for planning, directing, and managing departmental activities including Risk Management; Labor Relations and Contract Management; Employee Benefits; Recruitment; Discipline & Discharge. Advises management and staff on human resources related issues and develops/coordinates policies and procedures.
Ideal candidate is required to have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or the equivalent of a minimum of 5-7 years of Human Resources Management; a solid understanding of municipal operations with public sector labor relations experience.
Must have a thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of modern human resources administration, organization, management and supervision; above average oral and written communications skills with excellent interpersonal and coaching skills; evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.
Must have a valid driver’s license and pass a pre-employment background check.
