    Job Description

    Conducts and develops business retention programs for local business development and expansion.
    Markets and coordinates the acquisition and sale of City and private properties for economic development purposes.
    Serves and acts as City liaison to the private business sector.
    Serves as staff and provides preparation and development of operational guidelines for the Green Bay Economic Development Authority.
    Coordinates economic development activities with various City departments, organizations and agencies.
    Manages and facilitates new activities and celebrations for the Mayor and City of Green Bay.
    Develops and directs a marketing strategy for economic development of the City, including the Central Business District.
    Supervises and directs activities of the Economic Development Staff.
    Conducts and develops financial incentive programs and related development agreements for local business expansion and new business attraction and location.
    Oversees, develops, prepares and analyzes local economic indicators.
    Performs other related work as required.

    Job Requirements

    1. Bachelor’s Degree in Planning, Economics, Business Administration or Marketing.
    2. MBA or graduate degree in Economics, or closely related field highly desirable.
    3. Five to seven years experience in above areas required.
    4. Experience in municipal economic development highly desirable.
    A combination of equivalent experience and/or education may be considered.

    Work Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m. Plus additional hours as needed.
    Residency within the Green Bay corporate City limits will be required within one year of hire.
