About the Position:
The Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC) is the world’s largest foreign language institute. The mission of the DLIFLC is to educate, sustain, evaluate, and support foreign language specialists under the guidelines of the Defense Foreign Language Program, which provides the Department of Defense and other Federal agencies with linguists fully capable of supporting United States national interests worldwide. To accomplish its four primary mission area and ensure that our military forces are prepared to meet global foreign language requirements, the DLIFLC remains flexible and responsive to the changing world order and on the cutting edge of technological innovations in foreign language education for the twenty-first century.
NOTE: This position is a TERM position. It is temporary and may be extended up to a maximum of four years.

You will be responsible for art, creative direction, composition and layout of Curriculum Development Division projects. Work includes a wide variety of original and unique one- to three-dimensional graphics activities for computer web page design, multimedia displays, etc. Develop art and graphics for the creation of brochures, booklets, posters, and other advertising materials using traditional design techniques and desktop publishing software. Execute illustrations, sketches, and drawings (to include caricatures and cartooning). Create abstract designs for a number of media including video, slides, films, Internet sites, multimedia presentations, etc. Decide on format, creative focus and color treatment for all projects. Responsible for management and/or production of animation, floating palette construction, navigational slider and reactive button design, special effects, digital sound/video editing, recording on-screen demos, digital image manipulation/processing, color/real-time animation, etc.
