    This position is located in the Web Communications Division (WCD), Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs (ASPA), Office of the Secretary(OS), Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Washington, DC.

    Serve as supervisor for content and New Media functions of the Web Communications and New Media Division.

    Develop guidelines and procedures for Web content.

    Perform or advise on editing of content staff documents, as well original writing for the Web as needed; providing strong Web writing skills.

    Oversee day-to-day work flow and direction related to all content-related activities associate with various priority Web sites.

    Serve on panels for strategic communication, crisis communication, and media training for senior executives.

    Serve as senior level communication professional for public sector media for regional and national media.

    Use communication methods and techniques to develop strategic public affairs campaigns, marketing strategies, and products for targeted audiences.

    Serve as team leader enhancing growth and development.

    Qualifications and Evaluations


    You must meet the minimum qualifications by the closing date of the vacancy announcement to qualify for this position and receive consideration. The minimum qualifications include the following:

    For the GS-15, one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is that which is directly related to the position and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position, to include experience in Web writing and practices, usability and design; planning, directing and advising on public affairs programs while developing and disseminating informational materials to the general public and/or specialized target groups.
