    The City of Woodburn, Oregon, pop. 23,169, is rich in history, tradition and diversity, and is one of Oregon’s fastest growing communities. Woodburn’s location in the northern Willamette Valley along Interstate 5 provides quick and easy access to both Portland and Salem. Long known as a center of agriculture, Woodburn is also a gateway to some of the area’s most beautiful attractions, including The Oregon Garden, and Champoeg and Silver Falls state parks. Woodburn is home to the Woodburn Company Stores – the state’s second largest visitor attraction, and many community events, including the Woodburn Tulip Festival, Fiesta Mexicana, and other local festivals.

    Woodburn is a full-service municipality currently employing 174 FTE’s. The Human Resources Department is comprised of 2 FTE’s and has a budget of $297,000. Under the direction of the City Administrator, the Human Resources Director, plans, oversees, manages and directs all activities and operations of the department.

    The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a closely related field, and extensive human resources and employee health and benefits insurance administration experience, including at least five years in a senior management role, or any equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
