    JOB SUMMARY:

    This position is a full-time position at the Supreme Court of the United States, in Washington, DC

    Current technologies deployed at the Court include: Microsoft Windows Server 2000, 2003, and 2008, and Windows 7 desktop operating systems, Microsoft SQL Server 2000, 2005 and 2008, Microsoft IIS 6.0/7.0, Microsoft Office Suite 2010, Microsoft .NET, SharePoint, ASP, COM+ and Microsoft Access database applications.

    Additional Duty Location Info:

    The successful candidate will perform the full range of tasks and activities involved in administering and deploying database applications for the Supreme Court’s internal users. The successful candidate will administer the Court’s MS SQL Servers, work with the software developers in designing and developing SQL based applications and work with the server administrators in maintaining and upgrading the database servers.

    Qualifications and Evaluations

    QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

    Candidates must have a college degree (Computer Science or related preferred). Candidates must possess good communications skills and an aptitude for gathering software requirements and providing technical assistance to computer users.
    Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience with administration and coding of Microsoft SQL Server database applications. Candidates with additional experience in Microsoft.NET, SharePoint 2007/2010, VB.NET, C#, JavaScript, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Team Foundation Server are preferred. Some Windows server administration experience is a plus.
    Employment is subject to the successful completion of a security background check.
