    Position Duties

    IT Functional Analyst II is the full performance level work providing analysis and ongoing user support, coordinating system development and implementation and training users on the functionality of applications for agency or statewide systems housed on mainframe computers or large client server platforms.

    This position performs the primary duties of a Quality Assurance Tester. Develops quality assurance standards and procedures for data processing systems and works to continuously improve these procedures. The QA Tester tests new and modified software systems to ensure functional and technical requirements are met. Prepares Test Plans, Test Cases, Test Scripts, Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTM), Issues Tracking Documents, Defect Reports and other Testing and QA documents. Defines test environments, executes test cases and test scripts, captures test artifacts and document test results. Approves items successfully tested for use in production. The QA Tester determines when testing is complete and when testing has met exit criteria.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources Management, Information Technology or other related field with specific coursework in the structure and use of automated information systems.

    Experience: One year of experience providing problem analysis and ongoing user support, coordinating system development and implementation, and training users on the functionality of applications for agency or statewide systems housed on mainframe computers or large client server platforms.
