The Comptroller of Maryland is recruiting qualified mainframe computer programmer analysts who are experienced in systems development using COBOL, CICS, and DB2. Positions provide advanced level of work designing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining computer applications and programs. Most projects are necessitated by the actions of the Federal Government, laws passed by Maryland Legislature, and actions of State Agencies that mandate changes to the applications. Employees in this classification function as project managers and/or assign, review and approve the work of lower-level programmer/analysts. Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or other technology related field.
Experience: Two years of experience designing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining applications systems and programs using generally accepted computer programming languages or other developmental tools.
