    Renowned Washington, D.C.-based transportation company seeks a seasoned and dynamic addition to its team.

    The Senior IT Officer is a “working Manager”, an in-the-trenches technical professional responsible for the overall architecture, implementation, operation, maintenance, and administration of infrastructure, outsourcing, security tools, and software applications, as well as supporting other groups/staff as an internal subject matter expert (SME).

    Key Responsibilities:

    •Provide technical support to a distributed workforce (100 employees in D.C., and 7 U.S. field offices)

    •Provide services such as computer hardware/software procurement/installation/retirement, move/add/change, break/fix, and customer service requests (CSRs) for data/voice/wireless networks

    •Develop, review, and implement policies/procedures, including those for security, disaster recovery, and more

    •Implement/Maintain TeamMate Audit Management/electronic workpaper, and associated imaging software

    •Liaison to corporate IT Department

    •Maintain secure subnet, and a variety of internal application systems, databases, and audit tools such as ACL CCM and Audit Exchange, PGP Full Disk Encryption, and Audit Tracking System database

    •Leverage emerging technologies and best-in-class practices to improve effectiveness and efficiency

    Credentials:

    •Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Master’s preferred

    •5+ years progressively responsible IT experience; experience working with an Enterprise system, preferably SAP

    •Deep understanding of computer hardware/software platforms, networking, telecomm, and web technologies

    •Self-starter with ability to work well independently as well as within small teams

    •Excellent written and verbal communication skills
