    Job Description
    Woodstock, a charming historic community of just under 25,000 and McHenry County seat, 65 miles northwest of Chicago on Metra rail, seeks candidates for Public Works Director.

    This position reports to the City Manager and is responsible for directing, developing, organizing, planning, and implementing all Public Works-related services and programs covering 8 divisions: Administration, Streets, Parks, Sewer & Water Maintenance, Water Treatment, Wastewater Treatment, Fleet Maintenance and City Engineer.

    Minimum qualifications: Master’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Civil Engineering or related field, with Registered Professional Engineer status and five (5) years progressively responsible supervisory experience in public works required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Starting salary range: $81,813 – $126,983 DOQ, with excellent benefit package.
