    Incumbent will serve as the Visual Information Specialist for the Combined Arms Doctrine Directorate (CADD). Reads doctrinal material selected for presentation; determines subject matter; presents ideas on the treatment of graphics at editorial planning boards; plans, researches and selects/produces video, animation, detailed presentations, art & p…

    About the Position: The work of the Visual Information Specialist is performed to produce several of the US Armys tier 1 field manuals and forums for portraying fundamental operational principles to the field. The work must serve the needs of the reader by enhancing the presentation of material and the intent of the authors in conveying their thoughts. The tier 1 field manuals produced set the tone for principle, tactics, techniques & procedures found throughout the body of Army doctrine & training publications. These manuals require a visual information specialist videographer with proven skills to produce not only visually pleasing graphics, but showroom quality video content as well.

    DUTIES:

    Incumbent will serve as the Visual Information Specialist for the Combined Arms Doctrine Directorate (CADD). Reads doctrinal material selected for presentation; determines subject matter; presents ideas on the treatment of graphics at editorial planning boards; plans, researches and selects/produces video, animation, detailed presentations, art & photographic materials to complement or supplement text. Plans & designs a wide variety of artwork from initial planning stage through final productions. Design, lay out & prepare a wide variety of general & technical illustrations, computer graphics, video/computer animated simulations & commercial quality detailed slide productions. Determine the best supporting graphic material to augment text & procures or creates it. Plans & designs rough drafts displaying entire layout, graphic approach, narrative script, form & content of visual materials.
