    The U.S. Census Bureau has ongoing need for Web site designers, developers and project managers. Some qualities/experiences of ideal candidates include:

    Web Site Designers
    Able to create and implement modern Web site design with cascading style sheets, development tools, and libraries
    Exhibits proficiency in HTML, CSS and Javascript
    Knowledge of current Web design trends and technologies
    Knowledge of Web 2.0 frameworks such as AJAX programming techniques.

    Web Site Developers
    Exhibits proficiency in HTML, XML, CSS and Javascript
    Demonstrates proficiency in writing original code in at least one of the following programming languages: PHP, Base SAS
    Knowledge of secure Web site programming best practices, include database application programming
    Comfortable working in a LAMP stack environment
    Knowledge of Web 2.0 frameworks such as AJAX programming techniques.

    Project Managers
    Able to create and execute project work plans, identify necessary resources and assign individual responsibilities to production staff.
    Generally understands the areas of Web site development and application programming.
    Has experience in minimizing exposure and risk on projects.
    Effectively communicates relevant project information to team, customers and supervisors.
    Maintains awareness of new and emerging technologies and potential application to customer needs.
