    OMNITEC Solutions (http://www.omnitecinc.com) has just been awarded a new Prime contract with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to operate, maintain, and update HUD’s Broadcast Operations Center located within HUD Headquarters in Washington, DC (20410).

    We are currently looking for a Junior Webcast/VOD Technician or Multi Media Specialist with the following skills:

    This candidate must have at least three (3) years of experience operating professional television and/or multi-media systems; encoding video for internet protocol and satellite transmission for live webcast; encoding video for Video On Demand (VOD) applications. The Multimedia/Webcast Technician should be experienced in IP Multicast and Unicast protocols and in incorporating Captioning in broadcast and webcast.

    Ability to pass a background investigation and obtain a Certificate of Trust is required.

    Project Overview: The mission of the Broadcasting Branch is to provide broadcast, video production, audiovisual events, distance learning and photographic services. The Broadcasting Branch delivers news, information, training and employee development programs to all agency employees nationwide. Sites receiving broadcasts and webcasts are located throughout the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. The Broadcasting Branch is also required to provide broadcast support to the agency’s Office of Public Affairs for interaction with the media.
