    The Naval Facilities Institute (NFI), Port Hueneme, CA is currently recruiting a GS-1102-13 Procurement Analyst/Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Specialty Course Instructor.

    Travel the world with NAVFAC! This is a unique opportunity to represent NAVFAC and provide your acquisition expertise and knowledge to the workforce. The instructor must be highly motivated, self-sufficient, and knowledgeable of acquisition policies and procedures. As a course instructor, you will be in a position to directly impact the professional development of the NAVFAC workforce and our customers. Travel opportunities include many U.S. locations, as well as Japan, Italy, and Spain to name only a few.

    In addition to instructing, you will play a critical role in planning, researching, and developing NAVFAC specialty courses and acquisition business processes.

    The Ideal Candidate:

    – is a technical expert in and across acquisition functional areas; e.g., Acquisition Planning, Solicitation, Source Selection, Cost and Price and Contract Administration.

    – provides mastery level technical guidance and assistance on various matters, including those of unusual complexity and without precedence.

    – maintains a working knowledge of significant changes in the DoD acquisition field, especially those related to acquisition reform, facilities contracting and NAVFAC contracting policies.

    – has recent operational contracting experience within NAVFAC or Navy offices.
