    Are you ready for a new and unique challenge? Have you accomplished much in the contract management field, but want to try something different while leveraging your accumulated professional expertise and experience? Maybe it's time for you to join the voice of the contract management profession - the National Contract Management Association.


    NCMA is searching for an experienced contract management professional to lead our content development and management programs. Working independently, and in cooperation with NCMA's staff, contractors and volunteers, the CKO is responsible for ensuring NCMA members and customers receive the most timely, relevant and highest-quality information possible, through its many programs, products and services. The CKO serves as the senior contract management expert on staff. Specific programs you will be involved in include NCMA's world-class educational conferences, educational courses, publications, research reports, standards and best practices development, and advocacy for the profession.


    To succeed in this position, you must have extensive knowledge and understanding of the U.S. federal acquisition system, and have extremely strong writing and public speaking skills. As you will represent NCMA and its members to a variety of agencies, the media and other organizations, you must excel at establishing and maintaining professional relationships.


    Qualification requirements include at least 10 years progressively responsible experience in contract management, with expertise in U.S. federal contracting. A graduate degree in a related business discipline is required. Compensation is dependent upon qualifications of the selected candidate.


    This position works out of NCMA's Ashburn, Virginia office, and requires some domestic travel (4-5 trips annually).
