    Title: Sr. Product Marketing Manager

    Job Summary:

    The position is responsible for working with the NetApp Public Sector Geo leads to develop NetApp’s World Wide Public Sector Marketing program. This includes developing, coordinating, and executing marketing related programs targeted at promoting NetApp solutions into the Public Sector, consisting primarily of Federal, State & Local and Higher Education markets worldwide. You will be responsible for developing NetApp preference in these crucial markets and with key channel and FSI partners. Work internally to develop cross-over or drag programs that promote other NetApp solutions (i.e. VMWare, Cloud, Data Protection, etc…) into these markets. This requires a person who is strong self starter and a very strong team player.

    Essential Functions:

    -Work closely with the Public Sector Team to develop, support, execute and measure on programs and campaigns, necessary to attain revenue and market share growth.
    -Develop NetApp’s short and long term GTM programs
    -Help determine the Partner Eco-System needed to sell into the Public Sector space.
    -Monitor and report on market trends and drivers within the Public Sector market.
    -Competitively position programs targeted at World Wide Public Sector Partners
    -Ability to develop messaging and deliverables for use in collateral, events, AR/PR, tech pubs.

    -Act as the Public Sector champion for key solutions internally and externally
    -Incorporate/Leverage NetApp broader messages in segment focused programs
    -Launch new marketing programs to the field and partners and provide training on these programs and insight into the World Wide Public Sector market.


    -Minimum of 7 years marketing experience in a technology-orientated environment.
    -Experience in developing and implementing marketing programs for high-end technology products
    -Must have skills to influence change and support processes within a vertical based business model
    -Understanding of vertical go-to-market strategies including account segmentation, marketing strategies, etc
    -Ability to coordinate and interface with disparate groups amongst the NetApp Field and Corporate organizations
    -Is responsible for the development and implementation of a Public Sector Marketing GTM program.


    In addition to the qualifications listed the position requires;
    -Excellent communications skills; presentation, business and negotiation skills
    -Ability to travel 20-40%
    -Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
    -Capability to multi-task in a dynamic, rapidly growing organization
    -Ability to manage priorities and deadlines
    -Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business Administration, or equivalent, MBA is a plus
