    As the New Media Marketing Specialist the incumbent will perform the following duties:

    • Develops online media campaigns to convey information to a variety of diverse audiences to provide greater understanding of the Corporation’s mission, programs, and special initiatives via a digital platform.
    • Creates and implements the online strategy for Corporation events and activities such as MLK Day, AmeriCorps Week, National Conference on Volunteering and Service, 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance, United We Serve, and other special interest programs.
    • Promotes the Corporation, its programs, initiatives, and web-based services through strategies such as advertising, development of META tags, search engine optimization, web banners and buttons, creation and placement of online ads, and e-mail marketing services.
    • Initiates and maintains partnerships with external websites and content providers. Ensure Corporation websites are positioned strategically in top-rated such engines and indexes.
    • Drafts and posts content for the websites and other online communication tools (e.g., Twitter, Facebook, Blogs, etc.).
    • Produces videos and takes photos at events and posts to social media outlets.
    • Designs and deploys e-newsletters and e-mail communications/promotions programs. In coordination with the Office of Information Technology, assist with management of in-house LISTSERV and mass e-mail applications.
    • Monitors website traffic and usage. Develop and assist with the implementation of strategies to improve overall traffic level. Conducts trend analysis.
    • Assists with the production of new sections for the site, such as chat rooms, rich media, and other interactive features, as well as more static information and promotional pages.
    • Makes content changes and edits as necessary via HTML or other technology applications to the Corporation’s websites. Updates existing site content and checks for and fixes any broken links or outdated content.
    • Provides support to Corporation websites. Publishes and assists in drafting, editing, and reviewing content. Posts press releases, makes content updates, best practices, and other materials.
    • Serves as a member of the cross-agency Social Media Working Group.
