    The network configuration engineer will provide expert level network design, configuration and administration for a 24/7 enterprise network operation. This includes designing, configuring and troubleshooting network switches, routers, firewalls and segments for multiple separate networks. The candidate should also be comfortable supporting VPN and SSL tunnels for internal network and internet facing applications. Candidate should possess all necessary troubleshooting and problem solving skills pertinent for a network configuration engineer as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • 6+ Years designing, installing, monitoring and supporting enterprise
    class networks to include routers, switches, encryptors and firewalls.
    • 4+
    Years Cisco switch and router installation, configuration, troubleshooting and
    management
    • 4+ Years high availability monitoring (i.e. EM7, Solar Winds,
    NetIQ)
    • 1+ Years Cisco Call Manager/Unity as well as supporting IP
    telephones
    • 2+ Years with perimeter firewalls VPN and SSL tunnels for
    federal clients
    • 1+ Years with load balancing and content switching
    appliances (i.e. F5, Raptor,
    Array Network)
    • 1+ Years of SAN
    administration (i.e. Brocade, McData, Cisco MDS)
    • CCNP
    • Comfortable
    with Windows server and workstation platforms
    • Expert troubleshooting and
    problem solving skills
    • Solid diagramming and documentation skills

    Preferred skills:

    • Certification: CCNE/CCIE

    Certification: MCSE 2003
    • Experience with vIPer Phones
    • Disaster
    Recovery planning, design, deployment and management including
    COOP/COG

    • Windows Server/Active Directory Administration
    • Unix/Linux
    administration and scripting
    • F5 BigIP management
    • Array Network SSL
    appliances
