The Office of Management and Budget is looking for a highly qualified Federal employee to serve on the Budget Systems Branch Planning Team as a non-reimbursable detail assignment for four to six months beginning spring 2011.

Candidates should have strong numeric and analytical skills, along with experience and interest in one or more of the following areas: financial management, project and program management, acquisition and procurement, strategic planning, service oriented architecture, Web 2.0 collaboration, and/or information technology security.

The selected candidate will join a team of permanent and temporary staff performing planning, finance, acquisition and program management functions for OMB’s Budget Systems, and in support of it’s responsibilities with the Budget Formulation and Execution Line of Business (BFELoB). Specific duties will be assigned based on the candidate’s skills and interests.

Applicants should be self-motivated, independent, and comfortable working with large amounts of data. In our consideration of candidates, we will be looking for those who can quickly grasp complex and unfamiliar concepts, take initiative, manage multiple tasks, and work as responsible and amiable team members. Many of the work products are automated so the applicant should be comfortable with using technology.

Interested candidates should contact Phil Wenger ([email protected]) for additional information. You will be required to provide a resume, letter of recommendation from your supervisor, and a completed detailee application. A background check will be required prior to starting work.

Applications for this posting will be accepted through December 15, 2010.
