Research Associate: The Academy is seeking individual(s) with public administration/public policy background to function as an integral part of the Academy studies and/or programs research team(s). Required skills include research, data analysis, and writing. Some conference preparation experience and strong interpersonal skills are also important factors. Duties include research and administrative support for major research projects and a standing committee. The Academy prefers individuals who are enrolled in, or have completed, public administration, environmental, public policy, or political science programs. Masters degree preferred.
Analyst: The Analyst position is mid-level role, requiring an advanced degree and 3-5 years experience. Analysts play a critical role in all aspects of client engagements and in core organizational activities of the National Academy. Analysts are part of an integrated project team and engage in every aspect of our work, including project planning, primary and secondary research and analysis, and preparation and delivery of final recommendations. Analysts assist in coordinating, planning and facilitating joint meetings of Academy staff, our Panel members and client organizations. Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills are key to successful performance in this position. This position is under the direction of the Project Director, who provides senior leadership on each client engagement. Advance degree (or commensurate experience) required, MPA or MBA preferred
