    Alice M. Fisher

I am acting as a liason to help pass on the following message. Please forward this on right away if you know of any groups, orgs or persons who might be interested!

Montgomery County Maryland is looking for veterans, widows/widowers of veterans that could benefit by some donated time to help fix up their house.

The request is coming out from the White House, to make use of volunteers on Martin Luther King Jr. day as Mrs. Obama has asked that the day be used as a day of service rather than just a day off. About 20 – 30 military officers would be coming out to paint, replace toilets, whatever needs to be done for 4 – 5 hours in small groups in Montgomery County, MD.

If you know of anyone who would be willing to participate and could use some assistance, please let Betsy know know asap (today if possible). If you know of anyone, please have them contact my colleaque noted direclly below with the name, address and contact information.

Many thanks in advance to anyone who wants to help assist other Veterans in need.

    Sincerely, Alice M. Fisher
