Mission Essential Personnel is currently seeking a Payroll Coordinator in the Columbus, Ohio area. the Payroll Coordinator position is responsible for the day to day activities related to processing a biweekly multi-state payroll. Individual must be detail oriented and comfortable working in a deadline driven environment.
Employee payroll data management
Upload time and labor data for payroll processing
Audit payroll reports prior to processing
Process child support orders, garnishments and tax levies
Reconcile tax filing with third party provider
Prepare payroll general ledger entry
Provide cross functional support to HR, Benefits and Finance
Timely response to inquiries
Complete verifications of employment
Document process and procedures
Strong interpersonal communication skills are required. Individual is expected to be team oriented, and demonstrate a commitment to customer service excellence, will excelling in a deadline driven environment. Individual should have a willingness to learn and grow with in the role.
Basic understanding of employment and tax laws
3 to 5 years prior payroll experience in a multi-state environment
FPC or CPP preferred
Expatriate payroll experience a plus
Integrity and trust
Willingness to challenge the status quo
Flexible, able to prioritize and balance several tasks
