    1064 Principal Programmer Analyst
    $90,792 – $114,264/year

    Position Description
    The Principal Programmer Analyst reports to the Technical Team Project Director and is responsible for the development and testing of customizations, including pages, menus, workflow, self-service components, batch jobs, reports and queries. The incumbent is responsible for coding and testing data interface modules between internal and external systems using communications tools appropriate to the interface like IB, application messages, web services, application engine and SQR. The incumbent conducts code reviews, develops unit and system testing plans, and executes work plans for applying updates and patches.

    Essential duties for this job include but are not limited to:

    • Reviewing, developing and applying technical design specifications
    • Providing regular, accurate and timely status reports, including progress updates on assigned tasks as requested; ensuring program specifications are complete;
    • Producing basic components, such as program overview, listing of files, related programs and sub-programs, charts and screen flow diagrams and the like, to ensure complete programming
    • Analyzing, researching and repairing program logic and systems, modifying program logic, analyzing service requests for system changes or new requirements to determine the most effective approach and the appropriate staff time required to achieve the needed modification
    • Conducting code reviews for other Programmer Analysts
    • Assisting other programmers in diagnosing program failures and to detect, identify and correct software deficiencies
    • Providing detailed research including trace files and components affected for bugs reported in the PeopleSoft application
    • Developing data conversion development requests; providing comprehensive analysis and testing of PeopleSoft HCM components after application of PeopleSoft Application or PeopleTools maintenance packs.

      Qualifications:

      • Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, with major college coursework in management information systems, computer science, information technology, data processing operations, business administration or a related field; AND,
      • Six (6) years’ experience working with structure design techniques, including data models; writing technical design specifications, data conversation from other HR/Payroll applications in a PeopleSoft environment; this experience must include: <ul/>
        • Five (5) years of technical design and development experience with PeopleSoft Development Tools (PeopleTools 8.5x, Application Designer, People Code, SQR, Process Scheduler and PeopleSoft Query) AND,
        • Five (5) years’ experience in PeopleSoft HCM system and module functionality, fit/gap analysis, customization and testing strategies. AND
        • Demonstrated understanding of Oracle relational databases
        • One year experience in PeopleSoft HCM Core applications

          Desirable Qualifications:

            • Experience with Integration Broker and Application Messages
            • Experience with Approval Workflow Engine (AWE)
            • HCM Self Service (Employee and Manager Desktop) experience
            • Demonstrated experience with User Productivity Kit (UPK)
            • Experience with Enterprise Learning Management (ELM)
            • Experience with Talent Acquisition/Candidate Gateway
            • Experience with XML Publisher
